Understand the assignment requirements:

There are really two different goals in this assignment. One goal is for you to demonstrate your knowledge of Illustrator. The other is to show basic knowledge of the Husqavarna Viking machine. Below are the basic output requirements. I will go over the details in each step but remember to check out the rubric for exactly what I'll be looking for.

• You will create a logo for a hypothetical buisness using Illustrator.


• You will digitally embroider that using a minimum of two colors.


• You will sew a drawstring bag that this digitally embroidered logo will go onto.

Your line based logo must include the following:

• Framing elements.


• Two colors.


• An original line based icon.


• A font you specifically chose for this and downloaded.

Time to design the logo! You will need to follow this step by step video. There are some parts you can breeze through and others you may need to pause and watch a few times.

Once your design is done, begin to consider the fabrication process. This process has multiple steps you will need to consider before you begin. I recommend looking at the Draw String Bag Tutorial to determine the size your design and piece of fabric will need to be. You will need to add a drawstring and we found this Tutorial to help with that. Also the video below is a good way to job your memory if you forget parts of your training.

Time to book the machine and embroider your logo. Once your done embroidering your logo, you can sew the drawstring bag together.
