Assignment: Use the vinyl cutter to apply vinyl graphics to clothing.
Due Monday, Oct 4th by Midnight

First things first! If you haven't already received your Vinyl Training (1st Training), schedule it ASAP! Also, you may want to choose a shirt first. There are shirts specifically for this course in the lab in a cabinet labeled "T Shirts for Intro Digi Fab Students Only". It's under and to the left of the heat press.

Requirements:

  1. Must have a quote of more than 15 characters.

  2. Must have at least one graphic related to the quote. Minimum size of graphic is 4" x 4".

  3. You must have a photo of you wearing your work. (NOT a selfie)

In addition, make sure to explain why we consider the process of vinyl cutting to be digital fabrication. If you'd argue it's not, explain that too. And remember to link your files somewhere! You can do this with an accessible Google Drive link if you want.

Step One

You should have received an email providing you with account info so you can download this. The Adobe suite has monthly subscription fee and by taking this course, you will have it on your own personal laptop/desktop for this semester for free. If you have any issues downloading it, please reach out to me ASAP.

REMEMBER!!! Before you press cut, you need to mirror your design. You can do this is "Sure Cuts Alot".

Step Two

Make sure you sign up for a training. If you need a refresher at any point you can check out the video below. Sha Roper (Wheaton 21') started his own business at Wheaton called Rich n Swift (@rishnswift_apparel).
